Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

Chitwan is famous for housing Chitwan National Park which is another World Heritage Site. In the steamy sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan we enjoy bird-watching and a laidback safari by elephant-back while also getting acquainted to the tribal culture of the region.

Nagarkot is a village in central Nepal, at the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. It’s known for its views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which are especially striking at sunrise and sunset.
From Kathmandu, you can experience Himalaya [Mount Everest and so many other ranges] view from early morning 1 hrs flight. Most of the visitor likes to join this tour to see highest peak of the world.

    • Arrive Kathmandu

      Welcome to Nepal! On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities.

      Later in afternoon, pay a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa

      Said to be around 2000 years old, this Buddhist Stupa sits atop a hill. The main stupa is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire crowned by a pinnacle of Copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. The hill of Swayambhunath is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples. You’ll get a scenic view of Kathmandu city from there.

      Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the historic seat of Royalies. “Durbar” means the Palace- This Durbar Square with its old temples and palaces optimize the religious and cultural life of the people. It is the same place where kings of Nepal were crowned and their coronations solemnized. Here, you can see, Taleju Temple built by King Mahindra Malla in 1549 A.D.

      The Durbar Square is actually made up of two sub-areas. The outer complex is renowned for numerous interesting temples as Kumari Ghar , Kasthamandap , Shiv-Parbati Temple, Jagannath Temple, Big Bell etc. ,while the inner complex comprises the old palace area ,Hanuman-dhoka and itscourtyards as Nasal Choke ,Mul Choke ,Sundari Choke, Basantapur Durbar and other.

      One can get exposed to a visual feast of carvings and moldings on the nine storeys Pagoda palace. You can also visit Kumari Temple (Living Goddess) which is situated in the vicinity of Hanuman Dhoka Palace. The Temple.

      Professedly carved wooden balcony and windows was built by Jaya Prakash Malla, the last Malla king of Kathmandu.

      Kumari, who is also known as the Living Goddess or the Virgin Goddess, has got some unique virtues and must be from the Newari Shakya caste- a true virgin with no body marks or injuries. When she reaches the age of puberty, or cuts herself she is replaced by another one. Photography is prohibited, except once a year when she is taken out on a chariot in Indra Jatra festival.

      Later pay a visit to the famous Pashupatinath Temple situated on the banks of the pious waters of river Bagmati. Dating back to 400 A.D. is one of the oldest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is for the Hindus what Mecca is for the Muslims. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in Pagoda Style with gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. You’ll also be able to see cremation grounds that lie on the bank of Bagmati behind the temple.

      After the sightseeing tour of city you will ride a rickshaw for 20 minutes to Thamel.

      Thamel - Travelers and the locals consider it a tourist haven. Its filled with narrow streets, all lined with budget hotels, travel agencies, small shops selling everything from food and provisions to clothes, carpets, walking gears, music CDs, DVDs, handicrafts, paintings which makes it an ideal place for souvenir shopping. The area also has some very good restaurants when you need to stop for munching.

      After breakfast, drive around [210 km-5-6 hrs] to Pokhara, passing through valleys, rivers, terrace fields and some spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges. Today evening free time to explore around Lake side [around Phewa Lake]

    • Pokhara - Chitwan

      Today after breakfast, drive around [160 km-4-5 hrs] to Chitwan, passing through valleys, the banks of the Seti & Narayani River, terrace fields we can see. (Chitwan literally means “heart of the jungle”. In recent years Chitwan tops the list of things to do in Asia. It is a truly wildlife adventure of a different kind – jungle safaris on elephant backs or jeeps, bird watching, canoe rides and jungle walks.

      The Chitwan National Park is Asia’s best preserved conservation area, where wildlife thrives and their habitats remain intact. Only half-hour flight from Kathmandu, the park lies in the Inner Terai lowlands and consists of Sal forests, tall elephant grasslands, hills, ox-box lakes and flood plains of the Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers. Enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Natural) in 1984, the park spreads over an area of 932 sq. km.)

      After arriving and settling in, you will be introduced to the camp staff and resident naturalists who will discuss the program. There is some flexibility, and activities may vary depending on the time of the year, and on wildlife movements. A late-afternoon safari will take you through forests and across grasslands to observe the varied and exciting wildlife in the park. In the early evening the local Tharu dance troupe may perform a cultural program. You will then enjoy dinner and afterwards you will be free to relax in the bar and discuss the day’s sightings or listen to the exotic sounds of the jungle at night.

    • Chitwan

      Embark on an early-morning excursion. This could include either another safari to different parts of the park (in search of the great rhino, deer, and exotic bird life) or joining one of the other activities available in the park. Tiger sightings are rare these days, but these magnificent animals do inhabit the park. After breakfast you will leave the lodge and go on a dugout canoe adventure on the Rapti River. This is an exciting trip with chances to view marsh mugger crocodiles and various birds that inhabit the riverbanks. A program will be organized for the rest of the day, and may include further excursions by jeep or a visit to one of the nearby villages.

    • Chitwan– Kathmandu

      After breakfast drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel.

      Upon arrival take an excursion to Bhaktapur – Bhaktapur meaning city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14 Kms. /9 miles east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th Century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft. above sea level. In Bhadgaon, you will visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures - two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses. Time permitting, a visit to the museum of Thanka painting can also be considered.
