This tour offers a taste of the world of India's glittering princely rulers, you will visit Delhi, Shah Jahan's 17th Century Old Delhi, with its teeming bazaars, battlemented Red Fort and the country's largest mosque, and New Delhi, whose elegant 1930s avenues and buildings reveal the enduring influence of the British Raj. To the southeast, lies Agra the setting of the renowned Taj Mahal.

Westwards is the fierce magnificence of Jaipur - the princely state capital, which was painted pink (the traditional colour of welcome) in honour of the visit of Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria in 1883. India is equally rich for Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks. Ranthambhore National Park, an outstanding example of Project Tiger's efforts at tiger conservation in the country.

  • Arrive Delhi

    Arrive Delhi today. Upon Arrival you will be received and taken to hotel.

    Proceed for full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi visiting;

    Begin your exploration in Old Delhi visiting the Jama Mosque, the royal mosque built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in 1656. It is one of the largest in the world - the main prayer hall can accommodate 20,000 people.

    Drive past Red fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Built in red sand stone by Shah Jahan in 1648, this magnificent monument is laid out along River Yamuna as an irregular octagon. Also visit Rajghat, the site of Mahatma Gandhi's final journey.

    Proceed to India Gate (drive past) war memorial dedicated to the martyr’s of World War I, The President's Palace - former Viceroy's Palace, Parliament House and the Secretariat buildings - an interesting blend of the Victorian and 20th century architecture.

    Post lunch enjoy next visit Qutab Minar, a soaring tower of victory, 72.5m high with five distinct stories. This minaret is built on the foundation of a Hindu temple; many elements of the construction reflect their Hindu and Jain origins. Within the complex, are myriad monuments that combine both Islamic calligraphy and Hindu motifs.

    Early Morning proceed for game drive at Ranthambhore National Park on Shared open 4x4 Jeep accompanied by naturalist. Close to the town of Sawai Madhopur lies Ranthambhore National Park that was at the forefront of Project Tiger. The park covers approximately 400sq km of rolling hills, grassland, bush and woods, rivers and lakes and is very picturesque. The landscape is accentuated by the many ruins of palaces and forts of this once royal hunting reserve. Ranthambhore has large numbers of sambar, chital, and nilgai. You may also see chinkara, However, it is the larger predators that are so compelling, these include leopard, hyena, jackal, and of course Royal Bengal tiger, for which the park is famous.

    After breakfast, drive to Jaipur - Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh - II, the ruler of Amber, Jaipur was the first planned city in India. This town is also referred as Pink city for the color of buildings in its wonderful old city. The city was painted pink to honor the visit of Prince Albert of England in 1882.

  • Jaipur

    Early Breakfast at Hotel

    Morning drive to Amber and its glorious hilltop fortress. You will ascend the fort on Elephant back. It is known for its unique artistic style, blending both Hindu and Muslim (Mughal) elements, and its ornate and breathtaking architectural mastery. Tour the chambers and hallways of the palace, famous for the excellence of its design and decoration. Within the complex is Ganesh Pol, an imposing gateway painted with the images of the elephant-headed god, Ganesh. Pierced screen windows offer views from different vantage points, and shimmering mirrors encrust the walls of Sheesh Mahal.

    Enjoy shopping experience along with carpet weaving / Gems cutting demonstration.

    Later proceed to Pink city of Jaipur. Stop for a photo at the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Winds."This beautiful façade is probably the most-photographed in Jaipur, with its ornately carved windows designed so the ladies of the palace could look out onto the streets unobserved. Visit the City Palace Museum, which has a priceless collection of antiques, costumes and armory of the Mughals and Rajputs including swords of different shapes and sizes with chiseled handles. It also has an art gallery which displays a collection of miniature paintings, carpets, royal paraphernalia and rare astronomical works in Arabic, Persian, Latin and Sanskrit.

    There after visit Jantar Mantar Observatory, a stone astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th century.

    Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the finest bird parks in the world; Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana National Park) is a reserve that offers protection to faunal species as well. Nesting indigenous water- birds as well as migratory water birds and waterside birds, this sanctuary is also inhabited by Sambar, Chital, Nilgai and Boar.

    Fatehpur Sikri - a beautiful and deserted medieval city, built by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. It was mysteriously abandoned 13 years later. Today, it is perfectly preserved as a ghost city built at the height of the empire's splendor.

    Agra – A Medieval city on the banks of the Yamuna River. It was founded by Sultan Sikandar Lodi in the year 1506. Agra achieved fame as the capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526 to 1658 and remains a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal - era buildings. Most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

    The Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays) - Overlooking the River Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is a classic example of Mughal architecture, with the Taj itself built as a mausoleum at the northern end of an extensive formal walled garden designed in the charbagh style and structured on the Islamic theme of 'paradise'.

    Agra Fort - Agra Fort was originally a brick fort and the Chauhan Rajputs held it. It was mentioned for the first time in 1080 AD when a Ghaznavide force captured it. Sikandar Lodi (1487-1517) was the first Sultan of Delhi who shifted to Agra and lived in the fort. Later it became ruling seat of Mughals.

    Later enjoy a shopping experience in the Mughal city. Witness Marble Inlay work at a local workshop. Agra is known world over for its famous its Inlay work. The best example is Taj Mahal - greatest monument of love.
