  • Arrive Delhi

    On arrival at the Delhi International airport you will be welcomed and greeted by Atulyam Representative and transfer to your hotel.

    (Please note that the check in time is 1200 hrs, early check in can be requested but cannot be guaranteed).

    In afternoon visit New Delhi. You will drive through Lutyens Delhi and see India Gate - Built of Bharatpur stone, commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. 13516 names of British and Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan War of 1919 are engraved on the arch and foundations. Photo stop at Rashtrapati Bhawan once the Viceroy's residence is now the official residence of the President of India.

    Later visit the Humayun's Tomb, built by his wife Haji Begum in the 16th Century. An early example of Mughal architecture considered the predecessor of the Taj Mahal. The elements in its design a squat building, lighted by high arched entrances, topped by bulbous dome and surrounded by the char bagh (garden divided into quadrants), water channels and fountains.

  • Delhi – Jaipur (By surface appx 257 Kms/05-06 hrs.)

    After breakfast drive to Jaipur

    Jaipur established by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743) and painted pink by Maharaja Man Singh II when Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur in 1876. The Royal heritage of Jaipur lives in its architecture and culture. The city in pink is symbolic of the hospitality that reigned in the Rajput culture. It a bustling capital city and a business center with all the trapping of modern metropolis but yet flavored strongly with an age-old charm that never fails to surprise a traveler.

  • Jaipur

    After breakfast, enjoy the sightseeing of Jaipur, you will visit the following:

    Hawa Mahal (Drive past): Visit the palace of wind (Hawa Mahal) with 953 windows and niches which were made so that ladies of royal family could see the procession and events in the city without being visible to the people.

    Amber Fort: The Amber Fort was built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. It gives extensive views over a deep narrow valley and the wider plains beyond.

    In the afternoon, visit City Palace that occupies the center of Jaipur. It now houses the Royal residence and museums with collections of textiles and costumes, armoury, manuscripts, paintings etc.

    Later visit Jantar Mantar (1728-34) by king astrologer Jai Singh II. The instruments are built of stone with marble facing on the important plains for measuring the harmony of the heavens. Each instrument serves a particular function and each gives an accurate reading.

  • Jaipur – Agra (By Surface 232 Kms /05-06hrs)

    After early breakfast drive to Agra. Agra, the city of Mughals offers you an opportunity to explore the massive monuments, majestic buildings, and the popular arts and crafts. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries.

    En-route visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. The complex consists of religious, residential and administrative buildings. The Mosque is considered a copy for the Mosque at Mecca and is extremely elegant, containing elements of Hindu and Persian design.

    Housed here is the Shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti one of the greatest of Sufi saints of the Muslim world

  • Agra – Umaria (By Overnight train 8478 at 1600/0525 hrs.)

    After breakfast visit the Taj Mahal* (Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday), a poem in white marble, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. It took twenty-two years and hard toil of more than twenty thousand workers to construct Taj Mahal. The beauty of the Taj Mahal is enchanting and it reflects the marvelous beauty of architecture. Taj Mahal symbolize the richness of art and architecture of the Mughal period.

    Later visit the Agra Fort, situated on the west bank of the river Jamuna, made by the Mughal King Akbar in the 16th century and completed by his grandson Shah Jahan, who was Imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb for 8 years in this fort, before his death.

    In the afternoon transfer to the railway station to board train to Umaria.

  • Arrive Umaria at 0525hrs. - Drive to Bandhavgarh (By surface appx. 40 Kms/01hrs)

    Arrival Umaria Railway station & drive to Bandhavgarh.

    Bandavgarh is a small National Park; compact, yet full of game. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. Covering 448 sq km, Bandhavgarh is situated in outlying hills of the Vindhya range.

    At the centre of the Park is Bandhavgarh hiss; rising 811 metres above MSL-surrounding it are a large number of smaller hills separated by gently sloping valleys. These valleys end in small, swampy meadows, locally known as 'bohera'. The lowest point in the park is at Tala 400m above sea level. The vegetation is chiefly of sal forest in the valleys and on the lower slopes, gradually changing to mixed deciduous forest on the hills and in the hotter, drier areas of the park in the sough and west. Bamboo is found throughout.

    The terrain is of great rocky hills rising sharply from the swampy and densely forested valley bottoms.

  • Bandhavgarh

    Morning and afternoon Jeep Safari into the National Park.

    Bandhavgarh is densely populated with other species: the great gaur, or Indian bison, can be seen with ease, as they come onto the meadows to graze at dusk; sambar and barking deer are a common sight and nigai are to be seen in the more open areas of the park.The finest of these hills is Bandhavgarh, sided with great cliffs and eroded rocks and on its highest point stands Bandhavgarh fort, thought to be some 2,000 years old. Scattered throughout the park, and particularly around the fort, are numerous caves containing shrines and ancient Sankrit inscriptions.

    The vegetation is chiefly of sal forest in the valleys and on the lower slopes, gradually changing to mixed deciduous forest on the hills and in the hotter, drier areas of the park in the sough and west. Bamboo is found throughout.

  • Bandhavgarh – Kanha (By surface appx 250 Kms/06-07hrs)

    After breakfast, drive to Kanha National Park, which is typical Kipling Country, the setting for the famous Jungle Book.

    The drive from Bandavgarh to Kanha is a long one but gives you an idea of the remoteness and tranquility of Central India.

    The Kanha National Park in the Mandla District of Madhya Pradesh spreads over 1,945 sq.km of dense Sal forests interspersed with extensive meadows and trees and clumps of wild bamboo. This is where you can spot the tiger in all his magnificence or feast your eyes on the rare Barasingha Deer amidst extensive grasslands.

    The Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh came into being in 1955 and forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The Park's landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hard ground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction. Stringent conservation programs for the overall protection of the Park's fauna and flora, makes Kanha one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia.

    A heightened attraction within the Park is Bamni Dadar, popularly known as Sunset Point that offers the most awe-inspiring backdrop of the sunset against grazing Sambhars and Gaurs, magnifying the natural splendor of the area. Aside from its diverse wildlife and bird population, the frequent sightings of Tigers roaming in the wild at Kanha Wildlife Sanctuary remain the most popular draw.

  • Kanha

    Today enjoy the morning and evening Jeep Safari.

    Kanha boasts of about 22 species of mammals. Some of the inhabitants of this park are the gaur, the largest of the world's cattle; the sambar, the largest Indian deer; and the chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world. Other frequent visitors include the Nilgai antelope, the sloth bear, the dhole, or Indian wild dog, and an occasional panther. Some 200 species of birds inhabit the park, that includes the cattle egret, black ibis, hawk eagle, crested serpent eagle and various water fowl.

    Shravantal is an old tank in the central Kanha meadows, which happens to be an important watering hole, for a large number of waterfowl in winter. Bamni Dadar, or Sunset Point, is the most beautiful section of the park, and the view of the sunset from this spot is absolutely mesmerizing. The place is a regular haunt of the sambar, gaur, the four-horned antelope and the barking deer.

  • Kanha – Pench (By Surface appx. 210 Kms. /05-06hrs)

    After breakfast drive to Pench National Park.

    Nestling in the lower southern reaches of the Satpuda hills it is named after Pench river meandering through the park from north to south. It is located on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, bordering Maharashtra. Pench National Park, comprises of 758 SQ Kms, out of which a core area of 299 sq km is the national park and remaining 464 sq km is the buffer area.

  • Pench – Nagpur (By Surface appx.93Kms./02-03hrs.) – Mumbai (By flight)

    Enjoy the morning Jeep Safari.
    Later transfer to the Nagpur airport to connect flight to Mumbai.
